About Us
Heathmont Bilingual Montessori Early Learning (HBMEL) is a Montessori Accredited Long Day Care Centre (7.30 am - 6.00 pm) that is registered for both Child Care subsidy and State Kindergarten funding. Our program caters to children aged 1-6 years old, providing an integrated learning experience within a long day care setting.
At HBMEL, we specialise in offering Bilingual Montessori education, allowing children to learn and develop in two languages (English and Mandarin). In addition to our regular curriculum, we also offer specialist classes, incursions, and excursions at no extra cost to our families.
To further enrich our students' learning experiences, we organise a range of events throughout the year. We ensure that these events are scheduled on different days of the week, allowing each child to participate in extracurricular activities each term and throughout the year.

Our Classrooms

The Mural Room is a 40-place classroom designed for children aged 3 to 6 years. Our Cycle 1 program operates Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Families also have the option to enrol in a shorter day, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with all meals provided.

Rainbow Room
The Rainbow Room is a 25-place classroom for children aged 1 to 3 years. Our Infant Toddler program runs Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.

OUR ROOTS
Established 1952
A long-standing community Kindergarten with a colourful history of over 60 years, our kindergarten continues to service our community, making Bilingual Montessori education accessible to all. George Browning, a war artist donated his paintings to our preschool in 1952. His mural paintings are still very well preserved in our kindergarten for our community to appreciate. In 2020, Heathmont preschool & Kindergarten transferred ownership and continues to be managed by a passionate, Montessori-qualified teacher/owner, registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. In 2023, Heathmont Kindergarten became "Heathmont Bilingual Montessori Early Learning"
